About
Who makes Quit Pouches
I'm Jacob Teague, an independent iOS developer. I made Pouches, an iPhone app that helps people cut down on nicotine pouches one pouch at a time, and this site is its free companion: the same step-down plan as a web tool, a cost calculator, and guides to the questions people ask when they decide to quit. My other apps are at 100apps.app.
I'm a developer, not a doctor, pharmacist or counsellor. Nothing here is medical advice, and the free US quitline (1-800-QUIT-NOW) and your pharmacist are better places for personal advice.
How the guides are written
- Every factual claim links to its source: public health agencies (CDC, FDA, NIH, smokefree.gov), Cochrane reviews and peer-reviewed studies, or manufacturer product pages for product specs.
- When the research is about cigarettes or smoking rather than pouches, the guide says so. Pouch-specific research is still limited.
- Guides are written with AI assistance and checked against the sources they cite. They are not reviewed by a clinician.
- Each guide shows the date it was last updated.
What this site will never do
- Sell nicotine products or link to sellers.
- Tell you a pouch brand is safe or recommend one over another.
- Collect your plan or numbers. The tools run in your browser.
Independence
Quit Pouches and the Pouches app are not affiliated with Zyn, Velo, On!, Rogue or any nicotine company. Brand names are used only to describe the products people are trying to quit.
